Software Training Specialist

Persolvent is seeking a full-time, dynamic Software Training Specialist who will collaborate with program supervisors within school districts implementing our registration and account management software. The Software Training Specialist will provide remote training sessions and occasional on-site training for program supervisors and staff while guiding new customers through effective implementation and utilization of the system as well as assist in screencast development. The ideal candidate must have excellent communication and presentation skills and be able to clearly and patiently explain sometimes difficult material to customers with varying levels of proficiency.

Key deliverables for this position include:

  1. Subject Matter Expert: Become an expert on our registration software through existing resources and self-directed learning; remain current with new product features and updates.
  2. Training Development: Develop training plans, agendas, and follow-up with new customer programs; adjust training for a variety of users, learning styles, and proficiencies.
  3. Organization & Scheduling: Schedule software training sessions with school districts; create and maintain training and implementation timelines and checklists; coordinate internal and external resources as needed.
  4. Consistently Exceed Customer Expectations: Promptly respond to customer inquiries with a positive and professional attitude; carefully listen to customers in order to understand their needs; clearly answer questions and troubleshoot technical issues by channeling IT resources when needed.
  5. Continuous Improvement: Follow up with customers after training to ensure their needs are met; evaluate training effectiveness by gathering post-training feedback; adapt training methods to ensure we are delivering top-notch training; take initiative and suggest ways our team can improve its products and services.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4 year/Bachelor’s degree.
  • 3+ years relevant training experience.
  • Excellent presentation, training, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate with a positive and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Experience with the terminology and operations of after-school programs a plus.
